John Denton’s interest in wine started at University in the 1960’s. Bottling bulk wine with friends and searching out interesting wines grew into serious collecting in the early 1980’s. The search for a vineyard site in 1996 was the start of the DENTON Vineyard.
John's son Simon has been in the restaurant industry for over 30 years and currently owns Izakaya Den, Kappo and Hihou.
A passion for wine started growing up with yearly visits with John to icons Mount Mary and Yarra Yering and then grew through the restaurant business.
